Adam suffers backhaul dramas

UPDATE | Adam reports that it has restored connectivity to all exchanges.
Adam Internet customers have been suffering from serious technical issues with their ADSL2+ connections for almost two days as a result of issues with Adam's backhaul provider.
The problem began on Wednesday afternoon, with Adam informing customers that it was impacting "the majority of our AdamDirect serviced exchanges."
Fellow Adelaide based ISP Internode also experienced some service problems, but was able to work around the issue within a few hours.
The backhaul provider (thought to be ETSA/Silk Telecom) attempted to fix the issues by restarting "one of their core networking devices", but this caused further issues. Adam eventually was forced to replace equipment at multiple exchanges, adding to the delays.
While most of the exchanges were back online earlier today, customers are still reporting packet loss and slow speeds. Adam continues to update its outage page with updates as they work to restore service.
